Sometimes the best ideas aren’t imposed—they align.
For more than 15 years, Universidad Metropolitana had been dreaming of launching a Social Communication degree that was truly connected to the country’s reality, the business world, and the future of communication.
That dream is now a reality: the School of Corporate Social Communication has officially launched.
At Scalto, we had the privilege of joining this process as strategic partners, contributing our experience in branding, storytelling, and creative talent development. We weren’t the protagonists—we were catalysts. It moved us deeply. We feel like part of it.
“This School wasn’t born from a spontaneous idea, but from a deep commitment to the country, to education, and to a legacy that runs in my blood. Being part of this moment is a way of honoring who we’ve been, who we are, and everything we can still build together.”

Because we’re there—literally. Our office is located inside the UNIMET campus.
Because over the years, many of the 100+ people who’ve passed through Scalto have experienced something more than a job: they went through a journey of learning, transformation, and vision that revealed something to us—Scalto already operated like a school.
And because Venezuela—its people, its entrepreneurial ecosystem, its new generation of creators—needs communicators with strategic vision, ethical awareness, and real leadership.
This isn’t just a degree. It’s a new way of shaping thought, brands, and action.
As Sophie said:
“This program will train leaders who not only execute—but understand what it truly means to lead communication with purpose, innovation, and strategy.”
Scalto is a strategic partner in designing, supporting, and launching this school. We do this as part of our annual pro bono project policy—but more importantly, we do it because we believe in the country and its talent.
We do it because we want to see more graduates walk into our office already prepared for the real world: with creative sensitivity, strategic thinking, and vision.
As Andrés said:
“We realized this wasn’t just support—it was an act of nation-building. One of those things you do because you know you have something valuable to give.”
You’re stepping into a project that didn’t start from scratch—it’s the result of years of persistence, vision, and courage by the university. Today, you have the chance to study communication not just as a technique, but as a form of leadership.
And we—from our side—are here to support you, to share what we know, and to keep learning alongside you.
Here’s a candid, unfiltered conversation between Sophie, Andrés, and me. We recorded it because something moved us—the emotion wasn’t being communicated fully, and that, too, is part of communication.
We’re sharing it as a testimony of a meaningful moment.
Thank you to UNIMET, to the founding faculty, and to everyone who believed in this idea for years. Thank you for letting us contribute from who we are.
Ideas change the world. The ones that get executed transform it.
